Curly Tails Dog Grooming was established in 2011. This has since grown into Curly Tails Dog Grooming , Training & Behaviour Specialist and a trustworthy service in the Bedford area.

Laura owns four huskies, three of which are 6 generation pedigree and have been featured in "Your Dog" magazine. Three of my dogs, Demon, Mya and Avalanche are used in all aspects of dog training including 1-2-1 and dog training & behavior classes.

Our priority is your pet’s welfare and happiness. We rely on their trust rather than restraints or tie–ups when it comes to grooming. We are aware that many pets have had a negative experience of grooming and training. This should be a pleasurable experience for your pet. I always allow time for rest and cuddles during grooming and toilet breaks for your dog.

Dogs are taught using reward based training methods and we encourage the use of treats, toys and both vocal and physical praise. We do not use check/choke chains. In group classes numbers are restricted to the maximum of 4-5 dogs per class.

When you bring your pet to us you will be asked about your lifestyle, your styling preferences and how well you are able to maintain your pet’s coat in between grooming appointments as well as walking your pet. We will work with you to provide your pet with a style that not only looks great but also works well with your lifestyle and abilities.

We specialize in scissoring and hand stripping. These are both very skilled crafts.
